Last week's Tollywood release "Pelli Choopulu" continued to do well at the U.S. box office in its second week. The movie has made better collection than "Manamantha," and "Srirastu Subhamastu" on its second Friday.

Small budget Telugu movie "Pelli Choopulu" opened to good response on July 29 and the word of mouth boosted its collection on the following days. The Vijay Deverakonda, Nandhu and Ritu Varma starrer grossed $293,650 in its opening weekend and $172,076 on weekdays. The film collected $465,726 gross at the U.S. box office in the first week.

Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Telugu film #Pellichoopulu packs SOLID numbers in its Week 1 in USA... Will cross half-million mark in Weekend 2... SUPER... contd." The leading Indian film trade expert added: "Telugu film #Pellichoopulu - USA: Mon $ 38,243, Tue $ 58,846, Wed $ 42,826, Thu $ 32,161. Total: $ 465,726 [₹ 3.11 cr]. WOW! @Rentrak."

Trade Pandits in filmnagar predicted that new releases "Manamantha" and "Srirastu Subhamastu" would slow down the pace of the collection of "Pelli Choopulu" at the U.S. box office in its second week. But the Tharun Bhasker-directed romantic-comedy film has continued to lead the chart, beating new releases. The film has collected approximately $32,000 at the U.S. box office on its second Friday, taking its eight-day U.S. total to $497.726.

"Manamantha," which marks the comeback of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to Tollywood, is in the second place in the race at the box office. As per the early estimates, the Chandra Sekhar Yeleti-directed family drama film has collected $5,423 in the Thursday premieres and $17,000 on Friday. Its total collection stands at $22,423 at the U.S. box office.

"Srirastu Subhamastu" is estimated to have grossed $4,076 in the Thursday premieres and $4,000 on Friday. As per early estimates, Allu Sirish's third outing has collected over $8,075 at the U.S. box office. The movie has landed in the place in the U.S. business chart for Telugu movies.
