The upcoming Simbu-Selvaraghavan movie has finally got a title. Reports indicate the title is 'Kaan", which means forested locality. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

The upcoming movie has Catherine Treasa and Tapsee Pannu in lead roles. Earlier, the film made headlines when actress Trisha Krishnan opted out of the film, citing date issues.

Trisha's decision surprised many, as she had completed the photoshoot for the flick with Simbu and Taapsee. It was reported that Trisha's character was a stylish one.

Taapsee would play a bold and glamorous role and Simbu will be seen as a gangster.

There were some reports of the film's makers considering Priya Anand as replacement for Trisha, while other reports claimed the director has zeroed in on "Madras" heroine Catherine Treasa to play the lead role.

For Simbu, Catherine and Priya Anand, this will be the first Selvaraghavan project.

The upcoming project is touted to be a romantic thriller and sources close to the film claim that it will be another top class film by the director.

Selvaraghavan is known for his movies such as "Kadhal Kondien, "7G Rainbow Colony", "Pudhupettai", "Aayirathil Oruvan", "Mayakkam Enna" and "Irandaam Ulagam".

The music of the upcoming movie will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who had earlier composed some big hits for Simbu.
