American two-wheeler manufacturer UM Motorcycles will commence the delivery of the Renegade Classic in India in the next fiscal. The Renegade Classic was launched in the country at Auto Expo 2016 in February at Rs.1.69 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The bookings for the Renegade Classic will be open from January, 2017, Oncars.in reported. UM Motorcycles, which began its India journey this year, currently has two other models in its portfolio for the country's market — the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S.

UM Motorcycles will sell the new Renegade motorcycle through its 25 dealership centres across the country. The Renegade Classic will be powered by a 280cc single-cylinder water cooled engine that can develop 25bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 21.8Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, teamed with six-speed transmission. It measures 1975mm in length, 1280mm in height and 730mm in width.

The bookings for the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S are already under way. The company has received over 3,000 bookings so far. The company's plans to commence the delivery of these two by August did not take off. Now the latest word on the web is that the deliveries of the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S could begin in September. This two will be later joined by the Renegade Classic. The Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S have been priced at Rs. 1.59 lakh and Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), respectively.
