NEW DELHI -- American two-wheeler-manufacturer UM Motorcycles has announced its entry into the Indian two wheeler market with the launch of three variants of its Renegade range at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016.
The company set foot in the Indian market in tie-up with Lohia Auto and has showcased all three cruiser range Renegade -- Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport and Renegade Classic -- at the 13th edition of India's biggest auto carnival Auto Expo. UM said the new cruiser range will be sold through the company's 50 dealerships across India.
The Renegade Commando, a low-slung cruiser, gets power from a 279cc single-cylinder water cooled engine that can develop 25bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 21.8Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, mated to six-speed transmission. The Renegade Commando has been priced at Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-Delhi).
The other two Renegade Sport S and Renegade Classic will share the same engine as the Renegade Commando. The Renegade Sport S and Renegade Classic carries a price tag of Rs 1.49 lakh and Rs 1.69 lakh respectively (Ex-Delhi).
