The trailer of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer "Udta Punjab" has been released and it has received positive reviews from all quarters. Several Bollywood celebs have praised the Abhishek Chaubey directorial on social media.
In the trailer, Shahid will appear in a never-seen-before avatar as he plays a drug-addicted rockstar Tommy Singh, while Alia surprises with another amazing performance as a Bihari migrant. Apart from these three actors, the film also stars Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh, who is set to tickle your funny bones with his comic timing as a cop.
Scheduled to be released on June 17, "Udta Punjab" revolves around the increasing problem of drug abuse in Punjab. In the film, Alia will be seen in a de-glam look and plays a Bihari migrant who comes to Punjab in search of work but ends up becoming a victim of drug trafficking. Kareena plays Dr. Preet Sahani, who has sacrificed her easygoing life to move to Punjab to tackle the drug menace.
The lead cast of "Udta Punjab" attended the trailer launch on April 17, wearing a black T-shirt with the tagline, "Drugs Di Maa Di." Shahid and Kareena shared a stage after nine years at the film's trailer launch event.
