Badminton player PV Sindhu has entered women's singles badminton final at Rio Olympics after defeating Japan's Nozomi Okuhara. With this, she has clinched a medal at the ongoing quadrennial event. This has comes as a proud moment for India, as she is the first woman to enter the last stage at Olympics.
Sakshi Malik, Karnam Malleshwari, MC Mary Kom and Saina Nehwal are the other female athletes who won bronze medals at Olympics for India. And PV Sindhu's entry to the finals has now guaranteed at least a silver for the nation, which itself is a big achievement. She will face Spain's Carolina Marin in the finals.
