New Delhi, Sept 17 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar on Wednesday said that the NCP wants to contest from more number of seats in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls because his party performed better than the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. The polling for 288 seat Maharashtra state assembly are scheduled to be held on October 15, with the counting of the votes set to take place on October 19.During last assembly elections in Maharashtra in 2009, the NCP and the Congress Party had won 82 and 62 seats respectively, and formed the government.
