Siliguri, Aug 26 (ANI): Torrential rains triggered flood-like situation in Siliguri town under Darjeeling district of West Bengal on Tuesday. Normal life was disrupted as Siliguri received 150mm rainfall in the past 24 hours. Some areas remained waterlogged after the lashing rains. The affected residents blocked the highway for several hours to protest against the establishment for not taking stalk of situation in water logged areas. An affected resident, Umesh Sharma said the situation is pathetic, as their lives have come to a standstill and the state authorities have still not taken any action.
