New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): In a shocking incident during the Asian Basketball Championship in Wuhan, China last week, two Sikh players from the Indian Basketball team were asked to remove their turbans. The match officials informed the players that they were violating International Basketball federation rules and can't play with the turbans. Players Amrit Pal Singh and Amjyot Singh had to play the remainder of the tournament without their turbans. Speaking on the same, Former Sports Minister, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa on Wednesday said that remove turban is a big insult in their religion. He further said that he will write to ministers to take action against it and take cognizance of the matter.
