New Delhi, Dec 28 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Sunday after Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) Raghunath K. Shevgaonkar resigned two years before the completion of his term. According to the media reports, the resignation came due to tremendous pressure from the ministry, which wanted to lend IIT ground to cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for opening a cricket academy. IIT Alumni Association Secretary CK Jain said that it is very unfortunate that government is trying to take IIT under it. IIT Alumni Association former President Subodh Jindal requested the government to take the director’s resignation back. IIT Alumni Association President Ashok Kumar said that the whole IIT Delhi alumni are not happy with his resignation.
