Mumbai, Sept 21 (ANI): Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee, was recently spotted flagging off the “Make way for Ambulance” campaign in, Mumbai, to sensitize people about the need to ensure an early and easy passage of these vehicles in emergency. It is the Mumbai Traffic Police’s drive to raise awareness among people about letting the ambulances ply swiftly so that they reach the hospital without any undue delay. Also present on the occasion were Police Commissioner, Rakesh Maria and Joint Commissioner of Police, BK Upadhyaya. The event was organized at Nehru Centre, Hall of Culture in Worli in Mumbai. Rani Mukherjee who was the chief guest at the function said that this campaign would make a huge difference in saving the lives of critically ill patients. India has an increasing number of vehicles plying on the roads as more and more people can now afford to buy vehicles, especially with the availability of easy loans. Excessive vehicles on narrow roads cause frequent traffic snarls, especially in rush hours, causing immense inconvenience to people in times of emergency.
