New Delhi/ Kolkata, Dec 07 (ANI): Political leaders on Sunday react as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah failed to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with state CMs on new Planning Commission. BJP Spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said that such meetings are meant for welfare of the states and Banerjee failing to attend the same would only harm people of West Bengal. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that there can be other reasons and engagements for Banerjee for not attending the meeting and Abdullah may be busy with the state polls. PM Modi held the meeting at his residence 7 Race Course Road in New Delhi. In the meeting, discussions took place on the structure and role of the new body that will replace the Planning Commission.
