Kisama, Dec 01 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Hornbill Festival and Nagaland Statehood Day celebrations in Kisama. Dressed as a Naga warrior while addressing people at the venue, Modi said that unlike the rest of India which had SEZs (Special Economic Zones), the Northeast region was full of NEZs, that is, 'Natural Economic Zones'. PM Modi also announced a package of rupees 28 thousand crore for the establishment of 14 new railway lines in the Northeast. He said that northeast is a perfect tourist destination and to further work on the same, railway connectivity is essential. He also talked about 24 hours power supply in the region for development. Furthermore, he announced scholarships for students from the Northeast saying that 10,000 students will be beneficiaries of the same.
