Ranchi, Dec 07 (ANI): The martyred soldier Lt Col Sankalp Shukla was given Guard of Honour on Sunday before his body could be cremated. Shukla laid his life fighting against militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri sector on Friday. He had also reportedly sustained bullet injuries in a militant attack about 10 years back. The soldier is survived by his wife and two daughters. A grand wreath laying ceremony was held in Ranchi where a huge crowd gathered to pay floral tribute to the soldier after which, his body was cremated.
