Raipur, Oct 19 (ANI): Maoists killed an unarmed policeman in Chhattisgarh, said a senior officer. Constable Shivkumar Sidar, who was unwell for the last few days, was going by bus for treatment in Sukma district when Maoists killed him. Additional Director General (ADG) Of Police, RK Vij ruled out any abduction. Security forces rushed to the spot to nab the assailants. The Maoists control large but poor areas of the region and often attack railway lines and mining operations to cripple economic activity, such as the transportation of coal to power and steel companies. The rebels are estimated to number 7000 hardcore fighters in nearly a third of India's 630 districts.
