New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Saturday and sought extension of subsidy on raw sugar exports and hike in import duty on the sugar to 40 percent to help cash-starved mills clear cane arrears to farmers. Fadnavis also demanded creation of buffer stock of 50 lakh tonnes of sugar at factory level in the state and increase mandatory ethanol blending with petrol from the current 5 percent to 10 percent. Paswan said that sugar products should be used with diverted with ethanol.
