New Delhi, Nov 5 (ANI): India would designate a special official to take stalk of the situation of Indians stranded in war-torn Iraq, informed Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj after their families urged the government to expedite the efforts of bringing back their loved ones. Assuring full support to the kin of stranded, Swaraj said the ministry is in touch with the officials in Iraq who have ensured that Indians are safe and working there. The Minister also assured the families that the government was looking at all kinds of possibilities and was working tirelessly to get back the citizens stranded in the war-ravaged country. Around 41 Indian citizens were captured by the ISIL in Mosul in June this year. The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and other Sunni Muslim militant groups had seized towns and cities across Syria and Iraq in a lightning advance, according to media reports.
