New Delhi, Nov 28 (ANI): Director General (DG) of paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Dilip Trivedi accused some state governments of helping Maoism to continue for their selfish reasons while addressing a news conference in New Delhi. Trivedi was addressing mediapersons and other CRPF officers before ending his term as DG on November 30. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s. Meanwhile, Trivedi also said various committees and studies conducted by the government for welfare of forces was a waste of public money. The government is not serious about regulating sale of explosives whose easy availability to Maoists had led to increasing deaths of force personnel, Trivedi added.
