Gurgaon, Aug 10 (ANI): A child from war-torn Iraq got a new life with the efforts of Indian doctors. The13-year-old Iraqi boy was operated at a speciality hospital in Gurgaon. In June, Iraqi child Hayder Hamid Haloob was going with his family to their fields to cut the wheat crop on the outskirts of the holy city of Karbala — bordering the ISIS-controlled Jurf-Al-Sakhar area — when a landmine went off. The blast killed his uncle who was driving, and left his mother and aunt with shrapnel injuries in their arms and shoulders. Neuro Surgeon, Doctor Sandeep Vaish said that the child’s condition was very critical when he was brought from Iraq. Vaish informed that there was a metal nut at back side of the child’s head which might have pierced inside during the bomb blast.
