New Delhi, Nov 22 (ANI): Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti on Saturday said that all the states, barring one or two, were in favour of inter-linking rivers, while addressing the 'Jal Mathan' conference. Bharti inaugurated the national conference, 'Jal Mathan', which will take up consultations with state irrigation ministers, secretaries for water resources. The three-day conference will also discuss issues like water security, water projects, farm water management and rejuvenation of water bodies. Bharti said the government would address concerns of the states and environmentalists. She said that even though the society was in favour of inter-linking rivers, environmentalists had apprehensions.
