India will take on Sri Lanka in the third match of the Tri-series 2013. The match will be played at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica on Tuesday.

Overview:

Both the teams come into the contest after losing to hosts West Indies in their respective meetings in the ongoing Celkon Mobile Cup Tri-series.

India's pride must have been hurt after losing to West Indies by one wicket, and that too just a few days after winning the ICC Champions Trophy. They will be keen to get back to winning ways and win the next three games.

Sri Lanka conceded defeat to India in the semi-final match of the recently concluded Champions Trophy before facing a humiliating defeat to West Indies in the opening game of the Tri-series. They will be keen to take revenge on India.

Previous Meetings:

India have 76-52 win-loss record against Sri Lanka in 140 ODI meetings which include one tie and 11 no-results. India defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in their last meeting.

Team News:

India: Giving a big blow to India, skipper MS Dhoni has been ruled out of the Tri-series due to a hamstring injury. He will be replaced by Ambati Rayudu and Virat Kohli will take up the captaincy. Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni helped the team put up a descent total in the previous game but it was a poor batting performance overall.

On the bowling front, Umesh Yadav took three wickets, while Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets apiece in the game against West Indies. They will be expected to restrict the score of the Sri Lankans.

Sri Lanka: Skipper Angelo Mathews and Mahela Jayawardene scored half centuries each in the previous game against West Indies but the overall batting collapse let them down. They will expect Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal, Kumar Sangakkara and Lahiru Thirimanne to contribute with their bat on Tuesday.

Ajantha Mendis, Rangana Herath and Nuwan Kulasekara took a wicket apiece in the previous match against West Indies. It was a poor show by the bowlers, and even Lasith Malinga didn't take any wicket in seven-over spell. They need to pull up their acts together in the match against India.

Prediction:

India come into the contest as the favourites to win.
