Shimla, Nov 11 (ANI): The traditional buffalo-fight fair captivated hundreds of villagers in Baychari village of Shimla. People gathered together to celebrate this century old buffalo fighting fair, to preserve the old traditions and religious belief of the area. This is also done to praise Hindu gods and local deities. Meanwhile, Virender Kashyap, an MP from Shimla, who was also present during the fair said that such traditions help in preserving the culture of Himachal Pradesh. The event is organized to promote tourism in the region. The fair is organized every year during the month of October-November and is attended by people from across the state as well as from outside.
