In some good news regarding the launch of the facelifted avatar of Toyota Etios in India, both Liva and Etios have started reaching the showrooms. The Etios facelift is expected to be launched in the country on September 13.

If it was the leaked images of Etios that made news on Friday, what comes our way on Saturday is a new set of spy shots of both Etios and Liva in its new avatar. It is believed to have been taken from the company's dealership, thanks to GaadiWaadi.

Toyota had earlier in August unveiled the Etios facelift as Platinum in Brazil. While the India-spec model will also carry the same changes, there will be minor tweaks to suit the Indian audience.

In the new avatar, the Etios duo features a new V-shaped grille with black honeycomb inserts, chrome bazel near the fog lamps and refreshed front bumper. The side profile is expected to get side skirts and newly-designed alloy wheels.

The rear will get a reworked bumper and integrated spoiler in line with the Brazilian version. At the back, it has been updated with a tweaked bumper and integrated spoiler. The interiors are expected to get an all-black cabin and a centre console with piano black finish. The centrally-mounted instrument cluster will be upgraded to digital display. The top-spec version may also flaunt a touchscreen infotainment system.

As for engine, it is expected to get the same powerplant of the current models in the market. Currently, the sedan is sold with 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options, while Liva comes with a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
