Google Inc has released the list of top 10 most-searched tech devices in the country for 2014, and interestingly, budget phone - Moto G - has beaten the biggest releases of the year including Apple's iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, Nokia X, Xiaomi Mi3, Moto X and several others.

According to the search giant, Moto G (also Moto G Gen 2) leads the pack of most searched mobile phones in India, followed by iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, Moto E, Nokia X, Nokia XL, Xiaomi Mi3, Samsung Galaxy Grand, Moto X, and iPhone 5S.

Here is List of Top 10 Most Searched Tech Devices in India for 2014:

1) Moto G: Released in November 2013 at $179 for 8GB variant and $199 for 16GB, Moto G sports a 4.5-inch display with 720x1,280 pixels (326 ppi pixel density) and screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, runs on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradable to 5.0 Lollipop), comes packed with 8/16GB internal memory and 1GB RAM (no microSD card slot), non-removable Li-Ion 2,070mAh battery, and a 5MP main camera and 1.3MP front-snapper.

Moto G Gen 2: Released in September 2013, Moto G sports 5-inch display with 720x1,280 pixels (294 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop). It comes packed with 8GB, 1GB RAM and microSD up to 32GB, non-removable Li-Ion 2,070mAh battery, and have an 8MP main camera and 2MP front snapper.

2) Apple iPhone 6: Released in September, 2014, iPhone 6 sports a 4.7-inch display with 750x1334 pixels (326 ppi pixel density), powered by Apple A8 chipset and runs on iOS 8 (upgradable to iOS 8.1.2). The device comes packed with 16/64/128 GB internal memory and 1GB RAM, non-removable Li-Po 1,810mAh battery, and have 8MP main camera with with 1/3'' sensor size, 1.5µm pixel size and geo-tagging, and 1.2MP front snapper.

3) Samsung Galaxy S5: Launched in April 2014, the Galaxy S5 has 5.1-inch display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (432 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android4.4.2 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop). 4) Moto E: Released in May 2014, Moto E sports a 4.3-inch display with 540x960 pixels (256 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop). 5) Nokia X: Launched in March this year, Nokia X has a 4-inch screen with 480x800 pixels (233 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play, runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and has 3.15MP main camera with 1/5'' sensor size. It houses Li-Ion 1,500mAh battery (BN-01) and comes packed with 4GB internal memory, 512MB RAM and microSD up to 32GB.

6) Nokia XL: Released in May, Nokia XL has 5-inch screen with 480x800 pixels (187 ppi pixel density), Li-Ion 2,000mAh battery (BN-02) and 5 MP main camera with 1/4'' sensor size and 2MP front snapper. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play, runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and comes packed with 4GB internal memory, 768MB RAM and microSD up to 32GB.

7) Xiaomi Mi3: The device was launched in December 2013. It sports a 5-inch display with 1080x1920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat). It has 13 MP main camera and 2MP front snapper, non-removable Li-Ion 3,050mAh battery and comes packed with 16/64GB internal memory and 2GB RAM.

8) Samsung Galaxy Grand: Samsung released Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime this year but it looks like the search for the former would have been more, as it was released in January, while the latter was released in October.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 sports a 5.25-inch display with 720x1280 pixels (280 ppi pixel density), Li-Ion 2600mAh battery and 8MP main camera and 1.9MP front snapper. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat) and comes packed with 8GB internal memory, 1.5GB RAM and microSD up to 64GB.

9) Motorola Moto X 2nd Generation: Moto X was released in August 2013 while Moto X Gen 2 was launched in September, 2014, so the search volume could be associated more with the latter.

Moto X 2nd Generation sports a 5.2-inch display with 1080x1920 pixels (424 ppi pixel density), Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery, and 13MP main camera and 2MP front snapper. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop) and comes packed with 16/32GB internal memory and 2GB RAM.
