Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy starrer "Ennu Ninte Moideen" made many box office records for narrating the real life love story of BP Moideen and Kanchanamala. Not just the touching story, even all the songs of the movie were well accepted by the Kerala audience, finding a top spot in the chart box. The song, "Mukkathe Penne", is being viewed by more than 5.8 million users on YouTube making it the top Malayalam song of the year. Mohammad Maqbool Mansoor has written the lyrics of the song for which music is composed by Gopi Sundar. Both Maqbool and Gopi have sung the beautiful song.

The song "Malare" from Nivin Pauly's "Premam" is one of the hit songs of the year. Even before its release, the audio songs of the movie went viral and the songs "Pularikalo", sung by Shakthisree Gopalan and Muhammed Maqbool Mansoor, Shreya Ghoshal's "Puthumazhayay" and "Sundari Penne" sung by Dulquer have become instant hits.
