Stephen Amell, who is best known as the vigilante Green Arrow in The CW series "Arrow", will soon be seen as another beloved character of the comic book universe: Casey Jones. He will replace his arrows and green hood with a hockey mask and stick for the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" movie.

Since Michael Bay tweeted out the first set picture of Amell as Casey Jones, fans have been raving about it; and not just the loyal followers of "Arrow". Many comic book enthusiasts have said that Amell's Casey is the kind of the Casey Jones you would hope to get from the franchise and have called it a perfect casting.

Fans are also raving about how perfect it is, that a Canadian has been tasked with swinging the hockey stick. "Who knows how to wheel a hockey stick better than a good Canadian stick?" asks the fans.

Amell is all set to make the fans swoon over Casey Jones, as he made them swoon for Oliver Queen aka "Arrow". Also, just a warning for 'Olicity' shippers, get ready to root for "Capril", because Amell will be seen romancing Megan Fox, who plays April O'Neil in "TMNT 2", which will be released on 3 June 2016.

For those of you who are not familiar with the bad-ass "TMNT" character from the comic books, and wondering who is Casey Jones? Here is everything you need to know:

  • According to the comics, Casey Jones is a handyman, who turns into a vigilante. His costume and weapons are basically things that are lying around in his apartment.
  • Jones' choice of weapons include clubs, crowbars, golf clubs and hockey sticks, which he carries around in a customised golf bag.
  • A violent event from his past has resulted in several mental and emotional disorders, which explain his often aggressive and erratic behaviour.
  • Casey is a close human ally of the Turtles and often acts as a big brother-figure to them.
  • His main romantic interest is April O'Neil, who is the first human ally of the Turtles, and often treats them like her younger brothers, sometimes even children.
