Photos of a Tibetan couple have become an online hit in China, as they contrast the ethnic attire the bride and the groom wore during their wedding, and the modern look of the duo.
Photos of Kalsang Phuntsok and his wife Dawa Dolma were uploaded by the latter on WeChat, an instant messaging platform in China, and received more that 1,00, 000 viewers in less than four hours, according to China Daily.
The photos, apparently from different locations and time periods, shows the couple dressed in traditional ethnic Tibetan costumes during their nuptials and later in modern wear, complete with suits and sunglasses.
Kalsang, 31, hails from the Ganzi Tibet autonomous prefecture in Sichuan province in southwest China, while Dawa hails from Aba Tibet autonomous prefecture in the same province, according to ECNS Wire.
While Kalsang runs a company in Chengdu in Sichuan province, his wife runs an online business selling accessories.
The couple became an Internet sensation in China overnight after their photos received thousands of views.
