JandK, Oct 08 (ANI): Thousands of Indians are fleeing their homes in the disputed Kashmir region as Pakistan continues to violate ceasefire along the border. About 7,000 villagers living around the village of Arnia area in Kashmir gathered in schools after five civilians were killed and dozens injured in shelling by Pakistani forces close to the border on Monday. Meanwhile, villagers from Samba region also fled their homes after cross-border firing started on Tuesday evening. In Kathua district, Deputy Commissioner, Doctor Shahid Iqbal, said camps were set up in schools for migrants. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday directed the administration to take all requisite measures for ensuring safety of life of people living close to the border.
