Television actress Krystle D'Souza of "Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai" fame will soon be returning to the small screen with Ekta Kapoor's new supernatural show "Brahmrakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitaan."

The show is a finite series and will go on air from Aug. 6 onwards on Zee TV. Krystle is excited to start shooting for the series, which will see her play the role of an innocent girl, Naina. The actress believes that the show's gripping storyline will keep its audience glued to their seats. "I am excited to be back on television after a year and that too with Balaji Telefilms. This will be my first association with Zee TV where I am playing the role of Raina who is a pure-hearted girl," Krystle was quoted as saying by India-Asian News Service (IANS).

Aham Sharma of "Man Marziyan" fame has been finalised to play the male lead role. However, the makers are still looking for the actor who would essay the role of Brahmarakshas. The fantasy series will revolve around a monster (Brahmarakshas) that would wreak havoc in the lives of newly-wed brides.

"It is a fantasy, an out-and-out entertainer, a thriller with elements of romance, drama, and intrigue. The treatment will be very different vis-a-vis a daily soap. As of now, we have selected Krystle D'souza and Aham Sharma as the lead protagonists and the hunt for the title role of Brahmarakshas is still on," Ekta said.

Meanwhile, "Brahmrakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitaan" is Balaji Telefilms' third supernatural show after the success of Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani-starrer "Naagin" and "Kawach - Kaali Shaktiyon Se" with Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya in lead roles.

Krystle was in news recently over reports that she was approached to replace Kratika Dheer, who played the role of Tanushee on "Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki." However, the latest report said that the role apparently went to Shivani Tomar, who was last seen in "Hum Apke Ghar Mein Rehte Hai."
