Photos of rumoured Mi Note 2 were leaked online for Xiaomi's anticipating fans to see how the company's most expensive smartphone looks like. There is no official information on Mi Note 2's existence, but the consistent flow of the rumours and speculations has made it close to a real deal.

The leaked photos show off Mi Note 2's exquisite design ahead of the official unveiling of the device in China on October 25. Based on the leaked renders, Mi Note 2 looks like a futuristic piece of tech that smartphone enthusiasts will adore. But again, nothing is certain until Xiaomi lifts the curtains off its device next week.

Playfuldroid shared the photos of Mi Note 2 on Twitter, giving a closer look at some rumoured specs that the handset is expected to host. For instance, the first leaked render shows the front and the rear design of Mi Note 2, which confirms a dual camera set-up with triple LED light, rear curved glass design, a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top left and dual curved edge display.

In another leaked photo of Mi Note 2, we can clearly see the sealed unibody with aluminium frame fused between glass on the front and rear sides. The function of the curved display is not known, but it looks a lot like Samsung's "edge" devices. There is also a physical home button, which will integrate the fingerprint sensor just like in the Mi 5 smartphone.

Overall, Mi Note 2 is a premium device, but for a price. According to rumours, the upcoming smartphone will be priced at ¥4,000, which will be the highest price for a Xiaomi device. But the Chinese tech giant, known for its true disruption in the market, will justify the high price with matching specifications.

Based on what we know so far, Mi Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a 16MP dual camera with Qualcomm's ClearSight technology and a 5MP front snapper.

It will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset, which will be paired with 6GB RAM and come with 64GB/ 128GB and 256GB storage options. The handset will also sport a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, USB Type-C port, dual SIM card slots and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box.
