Ever since the news of Karan V Grover, who plays the lead role of Shaan in "Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant," quitting the show made headlines, speculations regarding the new lead have been doing the rounds.
While the makers have been looking out for a perfect actor to fit into the character, it looks like they have finally locked in a popular actor to play Shaan. The latest buzz is that Himmanshoo A Malhotra, the "Nach Baliye 7" winner, is likely to replace Shaan in the show. However, the actor chose to remain mum on the report. "Sorry, can't comment anything at the moment," he told India Forums.
For the past few months, Karan seemed determined to quit "Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant" and explore some big opportunities coming his way. The actor has apparently bagged a Bollywood film and is currently serving his notice period. Earlier, rumours of Karan quitting the show had surfaced, but the makers of the show apparently convinced him to stay back as they feared the Television Rating Points (TRPs) would drop, since the show was fairly new then.
This news will surely disappoint Karan's fans, since his on-screen chemistry with Rajni (played by Ridhima Pandit) has turned out to be their favourite. If the deal between Himmanshoo and the makers gets sealed, it would be interesting to see if Himmanshoo and Ridhima will be able to create the same magic.
Meanwhile, Ridhima was in news recently when rumours of her throwing starry tantrums made headlines. Apparently, she is always late for the shoot and keeps the cast and crew members waiting for her on the sets for long hours. However, the actress refuted the rumours claiming that actors do get late some times owing to unavoidable circumstances.
