After showing his softer side in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", Salman Khan will be back in the action avatar with his Eid 2016 release "Sultan".
Several speculations have been making rounds about the film's casting since the beginning.
The latest report is that "Kai Po Che" fame Amit Sadh will be playing the younger version of Salman in "Sultan". Sadh had also been a contestant on Salman's show "Bigg Boss" Season 1, which was then hosted by Arshad Warsi.
"While Salman would be seen playing the 30-plus Sultan, it was felt by the producers that Amit would be a suitable candidate to play the younger avatar of the wrestler. Physically, he is very similar to Salman. Also they have similar facial features — big eyes and broad face — so it is actually quite a smart casting choice," DNA quoted a source as saying.
A few days ago, there were reports that UFC fighter Tyron Woodley, popularly known as "The Chosen One", will be a part of the Salman-starrer as the two will have a face-off inside the ring.
Earlier, Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone was also rumoured to be a part of the cast as Salman's wrestling coach. Later, Sanjay Dutt's name popped up for the same role and latest reports suggest that it is Randeep Hooda who will play the part.
As the casting of the film is slowly being finalised, the actress of the film has still not been cast. However, speculations are that Parineeti Chopra might star in the film, but the actress herself has slammed the rumours.
It is reported that the lead actress of "Sultan" will also play the role of a wrestler like Salman himself and will have negative shades in the character.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Sultan" will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will present Salman in the role of a wrestler from Haryana.
