British-Indian supermodel Neelam Gill will accompany the Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Bieber for his Purpose India tour.

The Grammy Award winner's much-anticipated concert will be held at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on May 10, 2017. The Sorry singer arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday morning and Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera escorted him.

Beliebers are hoping to hear the live versions of Bieber's hits including "Where are u now", "Boyfriend", "Love yourself" and "As long as you love me".

  • Neelam Johal recently changed her surname from Johal to Gill. In an Instagram post, she said she had no contact with her biological father since her parents got divorced while she was still young. According to Neelam, her stepdad is her real dad. "Because he has been the one who has raised me and loved me like no other. He is truly one in a million and I've been meaning to change my last name for a long time because I'm proud to be his daughter," she posted.

  • In 2015, a year after she started modelling, Gill had faced bullying, racism, body shaming and depression.  While speaking to The Guardian, she said, "If I reached one person who needed to hear those things. Depression is still something I suffer with, but it's something you learn how to cope with and you get help."
