The rest of the year and 2017 looks interesting for Shah Rukh Khan. He will be seen in Rahul Dholakia's "Raees," Imtiaz Ali's film, Aanand L Rai's untitled project and two others.

The superstar is taking it slow and is in no rush to begin filming for the projects. He wishes to recover from the injuries he suffered on the sets of "Fan" first. This means he will take intermittent breaks from work till June or July. Since both Imtiaz and Aanand are "laid-back" filmmakers and are still working on the script, hence the little break wouldn't get in the way of anyone's schedule.

"So, I don't want to start a film because of my knee. I want to take few months off till June and get my leg in shape. So June tak nahi ho gaya khair. Maybe, July. But I still don't know whose film I will start first — Aanand's or Imtiaz's," he told DNA.

While very little is known about Imtiaz's next with SRK — except for a few reports that claim the 50-year-old actor will play a Sikh tourist (untrue) — Aanand's film is about a story of a little person. The final cast of Imtiaz's project will be announced in two weeks.

Shah Rukh told the leading daily that his VFX team, which churned top-drawer special effects in "Fan," and Aanand are working it out together. "It will need tightening. We will do it once and fail, maybe. But we will get it right because it has been done previously. I think it has been tried in 'The Hobbit.' But we have never used that technology in India," he further elaborated.

He confirmed Aditya Chopra's film too, but that begins only by the end of 2017. The Yash Raj Films head honcho told him that it would be a big film, which will take three months to complete. But before the project rolls, SRK has to sit with Aditya for two months as they need to prepare for the role.

Putting an end to rumours of playing only a small part in Gauri Shinde's untitled next, he said people do not listen carefully these days. "I said I have only about two or three days of work left to be shot in that film. So I was completely misquoted. I will finish that now. It's not a cameo at all. It's a full-fledged role," he pointed out.

The "Raees" actor also shed some light on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, "Don 3," and "Ra.One" sequel. He said that people assume actors and directors are working in films together when they meet at parties.

"Ranveer and I went to Sanjay's party so they started this rumour. If there was another hero, then they would have made it a three hero film. (Smiles) I am not doing a film with Shimit Amin either. I have not even met him for a long time. I have been wanting to meet him," the daily quoted him as saying.

There's still time for "Don 3" as Farhan Akhtar is yet to start writing. "Ra.One" sequel will happen once he has done another VFX-heavy film.
