The makers of Ajith's next film have reportedly finalised a top artiste to play the villain's role in the project. The buzz in the industry is that they have signed a Bollywood actor to essay the role of the antagonist in the film.
Currently being referred to as Thala 57, the film has been partly shot in Europe. The makers have completed the first schedule of the shooting, including the picturisation of some important portions, but the villain wasn't finalised until now.
The upcoming movie is an international spy thriller. The makers are said to have been looking for a highly talented artiste to play the powerful role in Thala 57. After considering many names, they have signed up a Hindi actor, whose named is yet to be revealed. The names of Prasanna and Arvind Swami were doing the rounds earlier, and Arjun Sarja was also approached.
Meanwhile, the next schedule of the shooting will commence in Hyderabad. The team will shoot key portions at the Ramoji Rao Film City before heading to foreign locations for its next schedule.
The film features Siruthai Siva collaborating with Ajith for the third time, after Veeram and Vedalam. Sathya Jyothi Films is bankrolling the movie, which is expected to be released in May 2017. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan are the female leads in the movie, which also stars Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Appukutty, Rajendran and others.
Anirudh Ravichander is the music director of the film, which will showcase Vetri's cinematography and Anthony L Ruben's editing.
