A 15-year-old student in Telangana reportedly committed suicide on a railway track after he faced humiliation for not being able to pay his school fees. 

The teenager had been punished by authorities of the private school after he failed to pay the fees, NDTV reported. 

The Telangana teen also recorded a selfie video message on a cellphone before killing himself. 

The teenager said in the video that his family, who are farmers, could not afford to pay more than Rs 5000. He said he was 'humiliated' at his school and was ending his life.

He then jumped in front of a train in the Peddapalli area in Telangana's Karimnagar district.

The police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the private school.
