An explosion occurred in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Wednesday, killing a ten-year-old boy and injuring at least two other children.

Adil Ahmad Reshi was killed when an explosive reportedly went off inside a garbage bin in Ganderbal, which is about 18 kilometers from Srinagar.

"Three teenagers were fiddling with some explosive device in Baba Salina (Manasbal) village of Ganderbal district when it exploded, killing one teenager on the spot and injuring the other two," a senior police officer told IANS.

The blast comes just hours after a deadly attack by terrorists on a BSF convoy in Kashmir's Udhampur, that left two soldiers dead.
