After going viral online, the teaser of Vijay's "Theri" seems to be ready to thrill the audience in theatres. The video-clip is reportedly being attached to upcoming Tamil film "Kanithan," starring Atharvaa (Adharvaa).

A report on Sify says that producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu is planning to attach "Theri" teaser to "Kanithan" so that Vijay's film reaches a large number of audience. It has to be noted that both the films are produced by him.

"Kanithan" is an action-thriller, written and directed by TN Santhosh. Catherine Tresa plays the female lead role and Taruna Arora will be seen in an important role. The film tries to throw light at fake educational certificates scam and will hit the screens Feb.26.

Coming back to "Theri", the teaser was released Feb.5 and has garnered amazing response from the Tamil audience worldwide. After getting close to 10 lakh hits in less than 12 hours, it reached the 20-lakh mark in one day. In about four days, the video was viewed over 50 lakh times on YouTube.

Now it is heading towards 1 crore hits, which is a rare achievement for a Tamil movie. In fact, it will become the second movie after Vikram's "I" to achieve the milestone.

The video has become the most-liked Tamil teaser on YouTube garnering over 2.7 lakh likes.

The 50-second teaser of "Theri" shows Illayathalapathy in multiple avatars. Without revealing much about the storyline, the video strikes a chord with the audience with its power-packed sequences.

"Theri" is written and directed by Atlee Kumar and features Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female lead roles. The Tamil film will hit the screens in April.
