IT software services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said on Wednesday that it sees digital vertical revenues to touch $5 billion in the next few years.

TCS added 1,500 experienced IT professionals, with core digital skills, during the current fiscal. The lateral hiring includes data scientists and professionals with domain knowledge in design visualisation, user experience and the 'Internet of Things', PTI reported.

India's second largest listed employer recorded gross employee addition of 16,561 with total headcount touching 3.18 lakh employees.

The company's CEO and MD N.Chandrasekaran declined to discuss segment revenues, while noting customers ramping up in the digital space, with deal sizes increasing.

"We are seeing adoption of digital by every company, across every industry, in every market. The size of deals is increasing from a few hundred thousand dollars to about a million dollars," said Chandrasekaran. 

A company spokesperson remarked digital to be the default for business across the globe, with companies across sectors, investing in it. 

TCS scrip ended Wednesday at ₹2,533.40, up ₹31.35, or 1.25% from its previous close.
