The rivalry between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift has been getting a lot of media attention lately. While the Chained to the Rhythm singer is set to release her newest album Witness today, Swift also announced the news of bringing her music back on major streaming services via an Instagram post on the official page of TaylorNation.

The message read: "In celebration of 1989 selling over 10 Million Albums Worldwide and the RIAA's 100 Million Song Certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available to all streaming services tonight at midnight."
The Bad Blood singer pulled her music from all streaming services (including Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, and Amazon Music) shortly after the release of 2014 album '1989'. Accusing the streaming site of failing to pay the artist during the free trial periods, Swift said, "I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company."
Not only Apple Music, the Shake It Off singer also raised her voice against Spoitfy in 2014, saying, "All I can say is that music is changing so quickly, and the landscape of the music industry itself is changing so quickly, that everything new, like Spotify, all feels to me a bit like a grand experiment.
"I'm not willing to contribute my life's work to an experiment that I don't feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists, and creators of this music."
The Katy Perry-Taylor Swift feud started when Perry tried to hire some of Swift's backup dancers in 2012. Swift retaliated by hiring Perry's longtime collaborator Max Martin to help her in writing Bad Blood. The Roar singer later said Swift tried to throw a shade at her through the song.
Recently in an episode of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, Perry told, "That's true, there is a situation. Honestly, it's really like she started it and it's time for her to finish it."
"I'm not Buddha – things irritate me," she rattled off in the latest issue of NME. "I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I'm also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls. That's so messed up!"
Is Swift trying to rain on Katy's parade? Because, if Swift's hits suddenly come on the top of all streaming sites ahead of Perry's new album (Witness) launch (since 2014) then it might put a dent on Witness's business.
