After staying apart for months due to Swift's "1989" album tour and Harris' busy schedule, the couple finally reunited over the last weekend for the "Wildest Dreams" singer's 26th birthday on 13 December. And since then, stories about Tay-Cal engagement and wedding rumours have been running wild.
So, are Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris engaged? Well, maybe not but the latest reports suggest that the DJ is trying hard to impress his girlfriend's folks, whereas the "Bad Blood" singer is determined to marry "How Deep is Your Love" hitmaker, whom she believes to be the one.
"No breakup is going to happen. No engagement is imminent, but they have told each other that it ends with them and they will get married," a source told Hollywood Life.
And now that the two have met after such a long period, the report said that they are making up for all that lost time by getting all cuddly and mushy. "They want to make up for lost time. The two want to spend a week in bed together because they've really missed being a couple, and really missed their intimacy with one another," the source added.
Although the singer and the DJ have decided to keep on hold their wedding plans as of now, it didn't stop Calvin from getting in the good books of Taylor's parents. In fact, US Weekly reported that the "Summer" hitmaker was busy earning brownie points from Taylor's mom Andrea and dad Scott, over the "Blank Space" singer's birthday weekend, so that he could seek their permission for marriage.
According to the website, the EDM DJ did manage to impress the mommy. The website also shared photos of Andrea Swift and Harris talking to each other and sharing a light moment.
It has already been widely reported that Swift's birthday started off with the singer having lunch with her family at her home in Beverly Hills and this was followed by a birthday bash at Jimmy Lovine's home in Malibu later that night. This bash was more like a Christmas-themed birthday bash where Calvin and Taylor also posed for funny pictures with Santa.
Well, it looks like Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift are on a roll and making most for the lost time. It's high time fans heard about their wedding plans!
