Tiago, the newly launched hatchback of Tata Motors, has added yet another feather to its cap. The hatchback has made it to the list of top 10 best selling cars in India for the month of November.
Tata Tiago sales for November stood at 6,008 units, sealing the 10th position in the best-selling cars list, ET Auto reported. Tata has ticked all the boxes right with the launch of Tiago in the country. The car has been registering sizeable numbers in terms of sales since its launch in the country and has also helped the company to post 22 percent increase in passenger vehicle segment last month.
Tiago, the hatchback that is bearing the Impact design language of Tata, has garnered over 50,000 bookings within a short period of time and its waiting period in the country has climbed up to six months. Tiago is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. It comes powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder Revotorq diesel mills.
Coming back to the best-selling cars in November, Maruti Suzuki Alto retained the top position with 23,320 unit sales and was followed by Maruti's Dzire, Wagon R and Swift. Baleno, the premium hatchback from the house of Maruti, rounded off the top 5 with sales of 11,093 units. Another Maruti model in the top 10 list is Celerio in the seventh position with sales of 9,543. While Renault's game-changer Kwid settled for the eighth position with 7,847 units in the list, Hyundai's Elite i20 bagged the ninth slot with 7,601 units. Tiago completed the list with sales of 6,008 units.
