Update: Tata Genx Nano Easy Shift Launched? Booking, Mileage, Features and More

The wait may finally be over if the latest post on Tata's Facebook page is anything to go by. Tata's much-awaited Nano GenX Easy Shift AMT has been revealed in a new teaser image on the company's official page on the social networking site.

Though the page talks about bookings opening shortly, it does not include the pricing of the new Nano GenX AMT.

Tata Motors had teased its much-awaited Nano GenX, confirming that the new Nano avatar will be presented to its fans in the country on Friday, 24 April.

The new generation Nano has been in the spotlight for quite a while now. The model, which will get a smiley bumper in its new avatar, has been teased with the tagline: "The next generation is ready to welcome you with a smile."

In its new avatar, the least expensive car of Tata Nano GenX is packing more features than we had expected. There is a functional boot lid in place and comes with Automated Manual Transmission. With the introduction of new AMT, GenX AMT is expected to become the most affordable automatic car in India, with a price tag of around ₹2.7 lakh.

Under the hood, new Nano GenX is likely to have the same 624 cc twin cylinder petrol engine that can churn out a 38 PS peak power and 51 Nm peak, and is likely to be offered in both manual and AMT variants. While Nano Genx XE, XM, and XT are likely to be available with a manual transmission, the XM and XT are expected to get AMT.

The new Nano GenX will be available in an all-new Sangria Red along with Meteor Silver, Pearl White, Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue, Damson Purple, and Persian Rose colours.
