Tata Motors reported a growth of 1% in October at 43,486 units, as against 42,862 vehicles sold in October 2014.

In the passenger vehicle segment, Tata Motors witnessed 11% year-on-year growth at 12,798 units in the month of October, compared to 11,511 units. In the same month, the company recorded 20% increase in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV).

"The growth trend was driven by the cars segment, specifically the new launches", said the company.

The Light & Small Commercial Vehicle sales, however, continued to decline and was at 13,615 units in October, 2015, a decline of 19% from last October. The sales of UV witnessed a fall by 9% at 1,749 units in October 2015.

The sale of the passenger cars in October 2015 were higher by 15% at 11,049 units, compared to 9,594 units in October 2014.

In October, the company's sales from exports were 4,569 units, higher by 13% as compared to 4,059 vehicles in October 2014. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal stood at 32,771 units, higher by 15%, over 28,375 units sold last year.
