Celebrating one year of its Zest, Tata Motors has launched anniversary special edition of the compact sedan. The special edition comes with only XMS variant of both petrol and diesel mill and available from September end till October 2015 in select showrooms. The petrol and diesel units have been priced Rs 5.89 lakh and Rs 6.94 lakh respectively, ex-showroom Delhi.
Tata Motors says that the special edition Zest will get benefits worth Rs 31,000 at the price of Rs 15,000 to its buyers. As part of the special edition, Tata has added "vocal white paint" finish. The car additionally comes with new wheel covers, black outside rear view mirrors, anniversary edition special embroidery on front seats.
The special edition also comes with an "anniversary pack" as an accessory kit. This kit will contain anniversary theme body graphics, anniversary edition badge on the C-pillar, rear windshield power curtain with remote, bottle holder on floor console and scuff plates with illumination for the front.
"We are delighted to announce that Zest from Tata Motors, which is the Company's first brand new product under its Horizonext strategy, has completed one year in the industry. On this occasion, we would like to extend our gratitude to our customers for trusting the brand," Tata Motors president passenger vehicle business unit Mayank Pareek said in a statement.
"Designed and developed with state of the art features, Zest has changed the face of Tata Motors and has successfully exemplified the Company's focus on best-in-class product and service experiences. With the special edition we celebrate its 1st anniversary with our customers and hope to see the brand evolve as a winner in its class in the years to come," he said.
Launched in August 2014, Zest was the first car to employ Tata developed Revotron turbo petrol engine. The 1.2-litre petrol engine develops 89bhp power and 140Nm torque mated 5-speed manual transmission. The 1248cc diesel engine comes in 75bhp and 89bhp state of tune, both mated to 5-speed manual transmission. The higher tuned version also comes with 5-speed AMT gearbox.
