A new prototype of Tata's upcoming hatchback Kite has been spied undergoing testing again.

Caught testing in Pune by the folks at MotorBeam, Tata's new Kite seems to have got interesting styling and design. Judging from the images, the Tata Kite appears to have got a side profile similar to the company's upcoming hatchback, Bolt. The test mule is still seen with heavy camouflage; however, it is not difficult to figure out the outline of the model.

Built on the on a new Indica platform, Tata Kite is likely to reach Indian shores next year. The previous spy shots revealed that the model will accommodate features like new music system with USB and AUX connectivity inside the cabin.

As for the engine, the Kite is likely to get power from the company's new 1.05-litre three-cylinder common-rail diesel motor, which can churn out a power of 64.1bhp and 14.27kgm of torque and all-new 1.2-litre petrol engine. In India, Tata Kite will rival cars like Maruti Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10 and is expected to get a price tag of ₹4 lakh.

Tata is also preparing a sedan, based on its Kite platform and the model was caught on camera recently. The petrol Kite sedan is expected to be powered by 1.2l Revotron engine and the diesel is likely to get power from 1.05 liter-3 cylinder turbo diesel, which does the duty in Tata Manza Hybrid.

Tata is also gearing up to launch its Bolt hatchback in the country and the last we heard is that the launch will happen only in 2015. To be offered in both petrol and diesel engines, Tata Bolt will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10 and i20.
