As Tata Motors continues to test its upcoming Kite 5 compact sedan on Indian roads, the model has been spied testing yet again, this time revealing the blue exterior-body shade of the model. Tata is expected to launch the new Kite 5 in India during the festive season this year.

Caught on camera by Team BHP forum, the Kite 5 sedan is seen in its undisguised avatar in the latest spy shots. The prototype looks production-ready in the images. Tata Kite 5 is expected to hit the assembly line soon. Previous spy shots had shown the model in orange exterior colour.

The Kite 5 compact sedan, which made its debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, will be offered in both petrol and diesel options in India. Under the hood, the model will come with 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol and 1.05-litre three-cylinder diesel motors. While the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine will churn out 83.8bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 114Nm of torque at 3,500rpm, the all-new 1.05-litre, three-cylinder turbo-charged diesel engine will develop 69bhp of power and 140Nm of torque. Both engines will be available with multi-drive modes — Eco and City.

Based on the Tiago hatchback, the Kite 5 measures 3,995mm in length, 1,647mm in width and 1,535mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450mm. Earlier reports had said Tata was considering three names — Canvas, Dribble and Ingrid — for the upcoming Kite 5 compact sedan. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
