Tata, which showcased its Hexa crossover SUV Concept at the Geneva Motor show 2015, will be launching the model with 6-speed automatic transmission, if the latest report of Auto Car India anything to go by. Powering the new Hexa will be 2.2-liter four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which is re-tuned to dish out 154bhp of power and 400Nm of torque.

If the news about the six-speed gear box is true, Tata Hexa SUV will become the company's first model to get six-speed manual and automatic transmission, as models like Aria and Safari Storme come equipped with a 5-speed manual. Although there have also been rumours about a twin-turbo variant of the same 2.2 litre diesel engine, which can churn out a power of 175bhp, it is unlikely to make it to India.

Measuring 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm width, 1,780 mm height and a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, Tata Hexa is likely to get refreshed front and rear bumpers.

The model, which is based on Tata Aria, is expected to get honeycomb grille and wider air-dam. Inside the cabin, Tata Hexa is likely to have leather seats, LED illumination and 6 airbags including side and curtain. The model is also rumoured to get six-seat configuration with captain seats and 3-spoke steering wheel.
