The launch of Tata's upcoming MPV the Hexa, what is being labelled as the 'best-yet' offering by the insiders is around the corner and Tata is in its final preparation to welcome its new offering. The Hexa is expected to be launched in India in November and ahead of its official entry into the market, a few lucky enthusiasts have got their hands on the steering wheel of the MPV and one may add the early impressions are quite notable.

While we may still have to wait a couple of days longer to be at the wheels of the Hexa , the early reviews of the Hexa suggest that the MPV is indeed a best package of comfort, built and technologies. Forums like TeamBHP and the Automotive India are abuzz with the images of the Hexa.

To be powered by a 2.2-litre engine that is tuned to generate 154bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,700 to 2,700rpm, the Hexa is expected be priced in the range of Rs 12.5 lakh to Rs 17 lakh. The engine will be coupled with a choice of either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Hexa will also feature four driving modes — Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. It measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.

From a visual stand point, the Hexa flaunts dual hexagonal-patterned front grille with projector head-lamps and LED daytime running lights and the MPV rides on the 19 inch alloys. Adding o the sportiveness of the Hexa are the black cladding, integrated spoiler and roof rails and at the back there is also LED taillamp and twin exhaust.

Coming to the cabin of the Hexa, from the looks of its, Tata seems to have given utmost care to give it a feel of the premium SUV. The top-end variant of the Hexa hosts a slew of features such as leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel with silver insert and touch screen infotainment system. Other features include LED illumination, mood lighting, ABS and airbags.

The Hexa will be pinned to rival Toyota Innova Crysta, Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner in India.
