US based technology company, Swipe Telecom introduced a 7.85-inch quad-core tablet MTV Slate in India for ₹14,999 on Wednesday.

On the occassion of the company's new tablet launch, Swipe Founder and CEO,Shripal Gandhi said, "MTV Slate is yet another innovation as a result of an intense market research conducted across the country followed by a development phase and has been custom designed for the end consumers power packed with the latest features and astounding looks, MTV Slate will further strengthen our product portfolio for the youth," 

Swipe MTV Slate tablet sports IPS HD (1024x768p) screen and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory. It packs a 1.2GHz MediaTek based quad-core processor powered by 3200 mAh battery.

The 3G tablet houses 5.0-megapixel camera on rear side and a 0.3-megapixel VGA camera on the front side and other mentionable specifications include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS support.

Last month, Swipe released a budget voice calling 7.0-inch a co-branded tablet MTV Slash. It flaunted a HQ 1024x600p display and pack dual-core processor with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory. It is available for purchase for 8,779 at online store Snapdeal.
